Happy Hour: The Brushfire

I am headed back to Texas for another wedding! Last time I was there I tried Tito's Vodka & although I am not a huge vodka fan, I really did like the Tito's & soda that I drank all night instead of my regular gin & soda.

So, with Tito's and Texas on my mind I went on the hunt for a Texas cocktail that featured Tito's Vodka. I found one fairly quickly and the jalapeño shooter closed the deal for me.

The Brushfire is made with equal parts Paula's Texas Orange, Tito's Vodka, and fresh lime juice, spiced up with a cayenne-rimmed glass and floating jalapeño shooter.

Cool Product: Society6 Shower Curtains

Shower curtains are not usually the fist thing you think of when it comes to decorating your home but when I found myself looking for one recently I discovered how boring and homogeneous the selection was. I ended up buying one from Ikea that had a water buffalo illustration on it. I really like it but I do wish that I had known that Society6 offered shower curtains since MARCH! I guess that's what I get for unsubscribing from all of my newsletters! 

If you haven't heard about Society6, it is a platform that allows artists to sell their designs printed on a variety of consumer products. They will print on anything from t-shirts to area rugs. I have chosen a few of my fave shower curtains and you can see them below.

Now, I have to admit that I had a bit of sticker shock at the $68 price tag. But considering the dollar per use amount it's really not that bad for something that is a dominant accessory in your home. 

I am interested in seeing the the actual product. I am not yet in the market for a new shower curtain but you can bet that I will be visiting the site when I am looking to purchase again.
