I was looking for some barstools on Pinterest (I have been on there a lot lately looking for new home furnishings. My husband and I are looking to buy our first home...but, more about that later) and I came across this beautiful stool made by WoodSmithe.
It took a tiny bit of digging to discover what WoodSmithe is about. There is no bio page, but there have been a few articles written about the founder, Nathanael Balon. I found some info on laimyours.com & californiahomedesign.com and also on their FB page. Here is the rundown: Nathanael was maker turned drummer that wanted to get back to making things so, he started WoodSmithe. WoodSmithe is a collective of designers led by Balon and they are creating not only products, but interior experiences as well. They have worked with some pretty big brands and have created some beautiful things and spaces.
I am not sure of the current status of the company, the FB page was last updated in 2013 and the blog has been removed...I'll keep checking back to see if things liven up. I would love to see more work from them!
